Gavin Theobald found a 2-piece improvement over my Figure I155.

Freese had originally found a 12-piece dissection. I had found a 1-piece improvement over that, but shouldn't have been satisfied. Nifty improvement, Gavin!
In my discussion for Figures I158a and I158b, I neglected to describe the sequence by which to swing the pieces from the cross to the string of pieces in Figure I158b, and similarly to go from the square to the string of pieces.
To swing out the pieces from the generalized Greek Cross, first swing pieces 5, 6, and 7 as a unit around the hinge between pieces 4 and 5. Then swing pieces 2 through 7 as a unit around the hinge between pieces 1 and 2.
To swing out the pieces from the square, first swing pieces 5, 6, and 7 as a unit around the hinge between pieces 4 and 5. Next swing pieces 4 though 7 as a unit around the hinge between pieces 3 and 4. Finally, swing pieces 2 through 7 as a unit around the hinge between pieces 1 and 2.
