Welcome to the Purdue University Computer Science Middle School Summer Camps Website!

 

These camps, open to students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, will focus upon the basics of Web page design and an introduction to computer programming.

Objectives of the Camp:

  1. Participants will develop and enhance Web page design skills including planning layouts, modification of graphics, content selection, animation, etc.
  2. Participants will be able to create dynamic Web pages using Adobe Go Live.
  3. Participants will develop an understanding of the basic skills needed to program LEGOS using the Logo language.
  4. Participants will have an opportunity to explore the many career opportunities inherent within the field of computer science and information technology.
  5. Participants will have an opportunity to socialize and enjoy both the Purdue University campus and fellow students from around the nation.

Camp Details:

The camps are divided into two sections based upon gender. The Girls section will be held July 7 through July 10. The Boys section will held July 10 through July 13. A schedule of activities is contained on the SCHEDULE page.

Students will stay at McCutcheon Hall (a Purdue Residence Hall) and will be supervised 24 hours a day by instructors and counselors. Visit the INSTRUCTORS page for more information.
