Homework
Practice being a reviewer. In total, the homework for this course includes writing two reviews.
For each review, select a paper from the course schedule and provide a detailed evaluation.
The review should include the following:
- Summary. Describe the key ideas, experimental or theoretical results, and their significance.
- Strengths. Consider the significance of key ideas, experimental or theoretical validation, writing quality, data contribution. Explain clearly why these aspects of the paper are valuable.
- Weaknesses. Consider the significance of key ideas, experimental or theoretical validation, writing quality, data contribution. Clearly explain why these are weak aspects of the paper, e.g., why a specific prior work has already demonstrated the key contributions, or why the experiments are insufficient to validate the claims, etc.
- Relation to recent works. This section deviates from the standard review process.
As most of the papers in the course schedule have been accepted for sometime,
this section should reflect on the paper's contribution to the field and impact on recent works.
The review should be typeset in Latex using CVPR's
template and be roughly 1-1.5 pages long.
Please submit the assignment on BrightSpace
The first review is due on Oct. 20
The second review is due on Dec. 6
Presentation

Prepare and present a presentation for the paper. The presentation should include the following:
- Motivation
- Introduction

- Approach
- Experimental results and metrics
- Conclusions
Please indicate presentation slot preference on
BrightSpace (under survey) by Sept. 1, 2022
Please submit the slides (in pdf format) prior to the presentation on
