Creating balance
"The CS department was a home for 25 years. I am very proud of the department and what it has accomplished. Friday nights at the Akropolis were always times to visit with friends and families. When I first joined, the department was still “smallish” and had a family atmosphere with many social activities at people’s houses. John and Nancy Rice, Elias and Cathy Houstis, and Mike and Karen Atallah instilled and we followed in this tradition. Purdue was a home, not a place of work, and it is always in my heart. I have fond memories of the many colleagues and their families."
