A culture of persistence

"I began as a data science major with no prior coding experience. As someone could have guessed, I struggled a lot in my first semester and considered switching majors. I fixed the situation by going to many office hours to seek help with the work and my challenges. Not only did I pass the class, but also ended up becoming one of the very few freshman TAs for CS 180. It's my favorite accomplishment thus far in my undergraduate career at Purdue CS."
