Creating opportunity
"I was involved in several CS student organizations (BoilerMake, Hack the Future, and LaunchPad) during my time at Purdue. By joining these organizations, I met many talented individuals who became some of my closest friends. These friends became the ones I would study with, hang out with, lean on in tough times, and everything in between. They are the ones who helped me grow into the person I am today. The CS student organizations allowed me to find a group of people I could be myself around and, in turn, made Purdue feel like home away from home. I co-founded a CS student organization with a friend, called Hack the Future, so that other students could feel the sense of belonging that I felt within the Purdue CS community. The CS student organizations validated my decision to choose Purdue CS and felt like the place I was meant to be a part of."
