CS attendees included Kristen Smith, Prathima Rama Rao, Rimma Nehme, and Carol Paczolt. Kristen Smith is an undergraduate in CS, and Carol Paczolt is an academic advisor for the department. Prathima Rama Rao, a graduate student in CS, participated in the poster session at the conference. Graduate student, Rimma Nehme, presented her work Self-healing Database. Both Prathima and Rimma work under the guidance of Professor Elisa Bertino.
InWic is a regional low cost conference for women in CS in the state of Indiana. It is meant to encourage networking, provide career services, and an opportunity for students to present technical talks and/or poster sessions. It is thought that students will present at this regional setting, and become more adept to talks at nationwide conferences such as the Grace Hopper conference. The next InWic conference will occur in winter of 2010.
