Purdue Usenet Service Being Discontinued

ITaP will be discontinuing their Usenet (NNTP) service at the end of 2009. This is the service that supports access to local news groups such as purdue.class.cs180. This service is being discontinued because it is not being used much and other technologies are available that provide the same or more features. If you are using a Usenet group for your class, please be aware that you will need to make alternative arrangements for the spring semester.
