Yuetian Chen is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Purdue University, working with Prof. Ninghui Li on AI privacy and security for large language models. His current work designs and evaluates membership inference attacks that quantify how much private training data can be revealed by generative models, and develops mitigation strategies that balance utility with confidentiality. Beyond privacy, Chen’s broader interests include controllable natural‐language generation, multi-modal and human‐centered robot agents, and adversarial robustness techniques such as prompt‐level jailbreak and data‐poisoning defenses. These lines of inquiry share the common goal of making modern AI systems both more empowered and more trustworthy.
