Lawson Building Update

Richard and Patricia Lawson Computer Science Building

Work continues on the Kurz Lobby of the Lawson Building The current CS building can be seen from the Farmwald Commons area.

Purdue and friends have watched the Richard and Patricia Lawson Computer Science Building go from an artist's rendering to a nearly completed landmark on campus. The Lawson Building has come a long way from the parking lot it once was, yet the work is not quite done. The exterior is complete aside from a few pieces of trim, but crews are busy on the inside. Tiles are being laid, walls are being painted, and wiring is being run.

Final completion of the Lawson Building is scheduled for June 25, 2006. Faculty & staff will move in the summer of 2006, after the furniture is in place. And fall 2006 classes will be held in Lawson. The much anticipated dedication ceremony will then be held on September 15, 2006. Computer Science expects Richard & Patricia Lawson as well as other major building donors to attend the ceremony.
