CS Undergraduate Earns CRA Honorable Mention

Erik Ackermann has been selected for an Honorable Mention in the Computing Research Association's Outstanding Undergraduate Award for 2008. The CRA Outstanding Undergraduate Award program recognizes undergraduate students in North American universities who show outstanding research potential in an area of computing research.
Erik Ackermann is a senior in the Computer Science Honors program and Mathematics. His research, under the direction of Professor Cristina Nita-Rotaru, is in the area of wireless mesh networks (WMNs). Specifically, his focus is on providing data confidentiality for group communications in WMNs. Erik will receive his BS in Computer Science and Mathematics in December 2007. He has accepted employment with Amazon.com.
