Li Earns Promotion

Congratulations to Professor Ninghui Li! Li earned a promotion to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure. His new position will go into effect on July 1, 2008.
Li joined Purdue Computer Science in 2003. Prior to Purdue, he was a research associate at the Stanford University Department of Computer Science. He received his PhD and MS in computer science from New York University in 2000 and 1998, respectively. He earned his BS in computer science from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1993.
Li's research interests are in computer and information security and privacy, with a focus on access control. He has served on the Program Committees of more than four dozen international conferences and workshops, including serving as the Program Chair of the 2008 ACM Symposium on Access Control Models and Technologies. He is on the editorial board of the VLDB Journal. His research is funded by several projects funded by the National Science Foundation and by IBM. In 2005, he was awarded an NSF CAREER award.
