Purdue ACM Holds Fall 2011 Poster Session
12-05-2011
On the afternoon of Friday, December 2, Purdue ACM held a poster session to celebrate its accomplishments throughout the Fall 2011 semester. Organized by outgoing president Chris Nuland and incoming president Javid Habibi, the event took place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Commons of the Lawson Computer Science Building. It was well-attended, as it coincided with Purdue Computer Science's Fall 2011 Employee Appreciation Social. Purdue ACM contributed cookies and other goodies to the social.
In addition to displaying several posters of current ACM projects, the special interest groups also demonstrated their work. SIGBOTs (recently returned from an award-winning showing at the VEX Robotics Competition) set up a robotics field, and SIGGD showed off a new game design on the video wall.
After sharing their Fall 2011 projects with the Purdue CS community, ACM now looks forward to Spring 2012. In coming weeks, they will publish a newsletter, sharng their plans for the upcoming semester with the Department, corporate partners, and all others interested.
