The ranking is determined by weighing specific indicators, such as alumni success, faculty awards, research citations, and publishing productivity.
Stanford University tops the 2012 AWRU Computer Science ranking. Other Indiana institutions to share the list with Purdue Computer Science are the University of Notre Dame (tied for 51-75) and Indiana University Bloomington (tied for 151-200).
Overall, Purdue University - West Lafayette ranked 56th in the ARWU’s 2012 list of the 500 top universities (up from 61st in 2011.
