Study Abroad
The Computer Science department is happy to work with students wishing to study abroad. Students interested in pursuing study abroad opportunities are encouraged to talk to their academic advisor to make sure they plan their classes appropriately. With a semester abroad you may fulfill the Language and Culture requirement for the College of Science as well as take interesting courses not available here at Purdue.
All courses taken abroad must be approved by Amber Stanley (adstanle@purdue.edu), CS Director of Student Affairs. CS is an evolving curriculum at many universities, therefore there are no pre-approved CS courses. Any student wishing to take a CS course abroad must have it reviewed/approved by the CS Study Abroad liaison even if it has been approved in prior semesters. When emailing the study abroad liaison, please make sure you are emailing from your purdue.edu account, include your full name and PUID, state what major you are pursing, what semester you are planning to study abroad, and if you have already been accepted into a program.
There are many programs to which a student within the CS Department can apply (for a complete list please make sure to do a program search on the Study Abroad website, or talk with a study abroad advisor). Following is a list of universities where CS students have studied in the past:
