2001 Doctoral Requirements
The differences between the 2001 and the 2002 departmental doctoral degree requirements are:
- The deadline for passing part 1 of the qualifying examination is now stated as the end of the third, rather than the fourth, semester because (as before) part 1 and part 2 are to be taken in sequence and part 2 is to be completed by the end of the fourth semester.
- Part 2 of the qualifying examination is now an oral examination in one of the areas permitted for part 1, and the associated procedures have been changed.
