Dr. Amber Johnson was the first Black woman to earn a PhD in computer science from Purdue University.

Johnson was the fourth Black PhD recipient in the program's history. Purdue ranks #1 for computer science doctorate degrees conferred to black and african american students amongst all R1 and top tier research universities.

Johnson is the founder of the an apparel brand, The Kidult Life.
