Maryland Summer School in Statistics and Machine Learning, 5/29-31
The Department of Mathematics, Statistics Program at the University of Maryland is delighted to announce the inaugural Maryland Summer School in Statistics and Machine Learning, scheduled for May 29 to 31, 2025. This exciting event will offer a diverse range of captivating short courses throughout the 3 days, covering contemporary topics in statistics and machine learning with a variety of levels. The topics covered include the fundamental principles of deep learning, network analysis, topological data analysis, random matrix theory, small area estimation, causal inference, and health data analysis, among others. Each participant is expected to sign up for one course, which will be taught over a 3-day period. For all 15 courses we’re offering, please check out each proposal for the 3-day breakdown. Courses will run in the mornings or the afternoons over the 3-day period.
While the courses will be taught in person, participants can also attend virtually via Zoom.
The registration fee is $600 for in-person participants and $400 for virtual participants.
