Amtrak's Internships & Early Career Opportunities

Our internship and early career opportunities, which challenge students and allow them to contribute to various projects, are primarily located in the Northeastern region. These positions span across multiple departments, including transportation, HR, IT, marketing, and engineering, and are open to students from a variety of academic backgrounds. Below are further details of our internship program, including the career site link, application requirements, and summer program dates. Please note that a couple of our summer 2025 opportunities were posted on October 7^th. However, additional positions will be posted over the next couple of weeks. Furthermore, the program will run from May 19^th - August 8^th.

 

Qualifications:

• Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree-granting program at an accredited college or university located in the United States.
• At least one (1) full year of academic study completed, or sophomore status.
• Cumulative 2.8 minimum GPA.

Legally authorized to work in the United States without employment sponsorship required for the duration of the internship/co-op employment period.
