Invite to User Study on Virtual Reality with Haptic Feedback

Principal Investigator: Voicu Popescu
Study title: Physically Correct Virtual Reality Haptics with Encountered-type Haptic Display
Protocol number: IRB-2024-1041

To Whom It May Concern:

We are looking for participants in a virtual reality (VR) user study. The study will take up to 40 minutes of your time. You will be compensated with a $30 Amazon gift card.

You will be asked to push, hold, or catch a physical object carried by a moving robot and you will be asked to fill out questionnaires about the realism of the haptic feedback provided by the VR application. The benefit to you is to experience a VR application with haptic feedback. The risks to you are minimal and they are those typically associated with VR such as cybersickness.

If you are interested in participating, please email Yuqi Zhou at zhou1168@purdue.edu.
