Invitation to Participate in a Mixed Reality Group Attendance System User Study

We are conducting a study to evaluate a mixed reality remote study group attendance system and we are hereby recruiting participants. Your total time involvement will not exceed 60 min and you will be compensated with a $30 gift card.

As a participant you will serve as a local student using our system to participate in a study group session. You will be seated at a conference room table, and you will discuss virtual reality (VR) with three other participants, two of whom are remote. You will be given slides that cover VR, so familiarity with VR is not required. The system will record your view direction and when you speak (not what you say). After the session you will be asked to answer questions about the experience.

To participate, please contact study researcher Siyu Huang via email at huan1882@purdue.edu.

The study has the approval of Purdue’s Institutional Review Board, IRB#2024-261.
